Apparent state 2013/2020
Photographic works and decollages
Perceptual alteration as a mirror of one’s own realities.
This is the main theme of the series in question, which questions the psyche and states of perception, hallucinatory or not.
With a cyclical movement through illusions and transformations, the artist confronts perceptions and reality, managing to modify finished works through further steps that distort their original meaning. As in a work of self-therapy, the role of art is to contain the anguish of the artist-patient through involvement in the sanitizing dimension of artistic creation.
